QCH Emergency Management Plan
Queensway Carleton Hospital’s emergency management program assists in identifying, analyzing, and managing risks to prepare and better respond to emergencies and to ensure the safety and protection of staff, patients, physicians volunteers, and visitors. The program will align with our vision, mission and values and reflect ethical, evidence based and risk-based decision making to protect people, property, and the environment.
The purpose of the QCH Emergency Management Plan (EMP) is to:
- Reduce risks to QCH patients, staff, infrastructure, operations, and the environment.
- Promote and maintain organizational preparedness.
- Ensure effective response to all emergencies with a focus on the protection of life, infrastructure, and the environment; and
- Ensure the continuity of critical QCH operations and services by maintaining and promptly restoring critical services during and following emergencies.
