Recovery Room

After the Caesarean Birth of your baby, you will be transferred to the recovery room which is next door to the Operating Room. The Registered Nurses will monitor you carefully for about an hour in order to ensure you are medically stable before being transferred to your room on the Mother/Baby Unit. The nurses or your partner will bring you your baby to hold if at all possible. Your partner can stay with you and your baby. You can initiate breastfeeding here and start to bond as a family.
