Ultrasound

While the previous clinic are offered in the Childbirth Unit, if you are arriving for a scheduled Ultrasound, you will be directed the register at the Diagnostic Imaging Department for your appointment. An ultrasounds and Biophysical Profile are ways for your healthcare provider to check on your baby. An ultrasound uses sound waves to visualize the baby. It is often used to confirm your pregnancy and your due date, as well as to assess the health and growth of your baby. Your physician/midwife will refer you for an ultrasound if necessary. The results of any test are shared with your primary care Physician.
