Arriving at the Hospital

When it's time to come to Queensway Carleton Hospital, you will use the Main Entrance which faces the visitor's parking lot and Baseline Road. Ask to be directed or follow the directional signs to the Childbirth Centre. You are greeted by a Volunteer at the Main Entrance who will direct you to the Childbirth Unit where you will register for your clinic visit or admission to the Birth Unit.

Once you arrive in the Childbirth Unit, you will be registered or admitted by the Patient Registration or Birth Unit Clerk and seen by a Registered Nurse for assessment.

Please note that the Unit is locked for the protection of mothers and babies. Use the telephone next to the Childbirth Centre door to gain access to the Unit.
